I might not make a lot of friends with this next comment. Unrealistic owners and poorly trained, under qualified managers are the core problem to low standard coffee shops. Loosing sight of goals, bogged down with paperwork, scheduling, inventory and work place drama. These things can be very distracting and create areas of focus offering very little reward. Oddly, a revisit to the goals, an introduction to a strong mission statement and an equatable strategy for success can get you back on track. It’s a process that requires hard work, persistence and a desire to get everything back in control. Order, strength and quality driven processes must be created and nurtured to fit the goals of your individual coffee program.
If the challenge of a solid training program sounds overwhelming, it’s not. It’s just a process that requires diligence and patience. I’d be honored to speak with you and learn more about your goals. MCP may be able to work with you towards those goals.
